Used PU foam cans have remaining contents due to technical reasons because of the most various reasons; e.g. viscous PU-prepolymers and propellants remain in the can. – useful materials which can be re-introduced to the production process.
PU foam cans are classified as waste requiring special supervision because of these contents which are classified as being harmful to health. They can neither be disposed of in the household garbage, containers for building waste, nor via recycling collection systems such as the “Yellow Bag”. PDR offers an environment-friendly alternative to the expensive hazardous waste disposal without extra costs. The return service is already included in the retail price of the cans.
